Internship Length: September 1-November 30
Hours: 15 Hours/Week
Paid: Yes-$15/Hour
Location: Hybrid; Remote + Required in-person attendance for meetings in Maricopa County
Report to: Executive Director
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a current student or recent graduate studying agriculture, communications, political science, economics, or law. A strong agriculture background is preferred but not required; though a strong passion for agriculture is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
Weekly Blog
Member-Focused Communications
Conduct research within the membership to identify opportunities for support and communication from MCFB
Identify potential new opportunities for MCFB to engage with membership
Assist in coordinating member attendees for Arizona Farm Bureau Annual Meeting
Content Creation
During meetings and events, gather photo and video content to post for social media and the website
Create one post per week for each social channel to highlight blog topic
Membership Growth
Identify and communicate with three new organizations with partnership potential
Discover opportunities for MCFB to engage with potential new members; whether in person or digitally
Outline strategy to increase brand awareness for MCFB
Meetings
Attend all board meetings for duration of internship
Attend Arizona Farm Bureau State Annual Meeting
Other events possible as added to schedule
