• Internship Length: June 1-August 24

• Hours: 10 Hours/Week

• Paid: Yes-$15/Hour

• Location: Hybrid; Remote + Required in-person attendance for meetings in Maricopa County

• Report to: Executive Director

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a current student or recent graduate studying agriculture, communications, political science, economics, or law. A strong agriculture background is preferred but not required; though a strong passion for agriculture is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly Blog

• Craft one blog post per week with focus on current priority issues and updates for Maricopa County agriculture

• 800 word minimum

Market Research

• Conduct research within the consumer base to establish messaging strategy

• Provide the results of that research to Executive Director to integrate into marketing plan

Content Creation

• During meetings and events, gather photo and video content to post for social media and the website

• Create one post per week for each social channel to highlight blog topic

• Form content calendar aligning with holidays and important topics within the industry

Grassroots Updates

• Draft monthly newsletter to Ag and Associate membership with ED

Meetings

• Attend all board meetings for duration of internship

• Other events possible as added to schedule
