• Internship Length: 24 Weeks (10/12/26-3/26/27)

• Hours: 10 Hours/Week

• Paid: Yes-$15/Hour

• Location: Hybrid; Remote + Required in-person attendance for meetings in Maricopa County (Must be located in Arizona)

• Report to: Executive Director

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a current student or recent graduate studying agriculture, communications, political science, economics, or law. A strong agriculture background is preferred but not required; though a strong passion for agriculture is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly Blog

• Craft one blog post per week on priority issues for Maricopa County agriculture

• 800 word minimum

State Affairs

• Track legislation for priority issues

• Provide updates on these issues and opportunities for MCFB to support

Content Creation

• During meetings and events, gather photo and video content to post for social media and the website

• Create one post per week for each social channel to highlight blog topic

Grassroots Engagement

• Assist with meeting management and member engagement

• Conduct information research throughout membership

Administrative

• Assist Executive Director with administrative tasks as assigned

Meetings

• Attend all board meetings for duration of internship

• Other events as added to schedule
