Agriculture Literacy Grant Application
Application Deadline June 30th, 2025
Maricopa County Farm Bureau is offering grants for programs or projects that will teach children about the importance of agriculture as the source of the food they eat and the clothes they wear.
This is an opportunity for Maricopa County schools, non-profit organizations and other agricultural literacy operations to request financial support for a specific program or project.
Objectives of the programs or projects should:
-Teach the importance of agriculture as the source of food and fiber
-Utilize science-based, factual materials and/or presentations
-Cover the entire growing/production cycle
-Include emphasis on Maricopa County agriculture
-Reach as many students as possible
The Board of Directors will select projects for funding at their July meeting. Recipients will be notified after that time.
Your submitted project description should include the following:
1. How will this program or project teach children that farms, ranches and dairies are the origin of their food and clothing?
2. How does this program emphasize Maricopa County farms, ranches and dairies?
3. Describe how this program or project covers the entire growing/production cycle.
4. Please provide detail on how this program or project will utilize science-based, factual materials and/or presentations.
5. What schools and how many students will you reach with this program or project?
6. What is the life expectancy of this program or project? Is this a one-time effort or will it continue for future years?
Please note: Award recipients are required to provide a written report within 11 months after receipt of funds. Presentation to the Board of Directors in person is optional.
